Spotter or No Spotter?

Do you like having a spotter? Do you not like having one?

My experience: Most of the times we go out, i'm in the front of the group, blazing trails, picking where the group goes. I generally wheel with the same people and I'm very comfortable with their experience. My entire life, i've never had a spotter cause i've been in front of everyone. So personally, unless i'm doing something very stupid... I actually prefer to not have a spotter. I've learned to bump and feel my way around the things I can't see with a nominal amount of confidence.

Over new and unfamiliar terrain, I prefer a spotter.

Depends on the situation. Sometimes if you watch someone else first you can see the line easy enough but I prefer to have one if clearances are an issue, I'd rather be warned before doing unnecessary damage.

I’m always in the front of my group. If I question a line, I’ll jump out and take a peek. When I’m doing stupid things, like giant rocks (which is a lot!!) we have 2 guys in the group that get out and spot for everyone.
